Engraving Instructions
Depths:
Shallow details (Holes, Name card icons, “WTF,” and the person’s name) are set to 0.0001" deep, cut with a 1/8" ballnose.
Remaining details are set to 0.008" deep, also cut with a 1/8" ballnose.
Software Workflow:
We use VCarve Pro to create and save the toolpaths.
Files are then run through Laser GRBL for engraving.
Important Note:
Every CNC/laser machine may perform differently depending on calibration, material type, and bit condition. These depth values and tool settings work well for us, but you may need to adjust feeds, speeds, and depths to suit your specific setup. Always run a test cut before final engraving.
